Thanks, Sandra. I've not been affected by the fires that seem to be devastating so much of Texas, though it may be as much luck of the draw as it is location.
Though the lack of rain makes things pretty dry around here, Waco envelopes what I've been told is the largest lake in the U.S. completely within a city's city limits. So, we still have water and are not--as far as I know--on any water rationing.
At the same time, my writing hasn't been on fire, either. Though I've been writing, I've not finished anything recently and editors are sitting on the zillion manuscripts I have circulating.
Yeah, I go through those spells, too. You write and write and nothing seems to work, then a month later the lightbulb goes off and you finish what you started.
