I completed and submitted my third short story of the year this afternoon. It's an 1,800-word bit of crime fiction.

I received my 3rd acceptance of the year later last evening. This one is for a time travel mystery.

Two

I completed and submitted my second story of the year this evening. This one's a 3,300-word mystery I started January 1 in response to an anthology invitation.

One

I completed and submitted my first short story of the year this evening. This one's a 5,400-word collaboration I started July 17, 2014, and it remained as little more than notes, rough plot, and some partially written scenes until late last year. I found a collaborator with knowledge of football—which was required to complete the story—and we knocked out a submittable draft in less than two months.

I received my first two acceptances of the year this morning, both for audio rights to previously published stories—one is erotic crime fiction, the other erotica.

Nineteen and 49

I completed and submitted my nineteenth short story of the year this afternoon, a 13,500-word bit of crime fiction. Moments later it became my 49th acceptance of the year. (Like my previous acceptance, this one's a bit of a cheat: I'm co-editor of the project for which the story was written.)

I received my 48th acceptance of the year this afternoon, for a bit of crime fiction. This acceptance is a bit of a cheat though: I'm the editor of the anthology.

I completed and submitted my eighteenth short story of the year this afternoon. This one's a 2,600-word mystery I started on June 19.

I completed and submitted my sixteenth story of the year today. This one's a 3,000-word bit of crime fiction I started a few days ago.

My story "Going-Away Money" appears in the November/December 2018 Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine.

I completed and submitted my fifteenth short story of the year this evening. This one's a 2,200-word sf/mystery.

Fourteen

I finished and submitted my fourteenth short story of the year this evening. This one's a 6,000-word historical mystery I wrote with a collaborator.
